Background

The US Surgeon General has said, “Smoking cessation [stopping smoking] represents the single most important step that smokers can take to enhance the length and quality of their lives (1).”  For Smokers to have the best chance of quitting and staying a non-smoker, knowledge and support are necessary.  One advantage of a work-site cessation program is the convenience and the greatest number of people can be reached thus increasing overall participation.  Research has shown the net savings to be $542 per smoker who quits when compared to the costs of providing a cessation program (medication + counseling) to the savings gained from smokers quitting (2).

Our Programs

B.Komplete uses the proven most effective methods for smoking cessation which include: group behavior therapy, individual counseling, and will provide information on tobacco cessation medications (3).  With the B.Komplete Smoking Cessation program, your employees will learn about the mental and physical aspects of addiction, traditional and alternative methods for smoking cessation, the rewards of smoking cessation, steps for long-term success, where to go for help and more.

The B.Komplete Smoking Cessation Workshop Series are organized as 4 – 60 minute sessions that build upon each other.  The workshops create an atmosphere of sharing in the participants and are upbeat and enjoyable.  The workshops outline the tools a person needs for effective smoking cessation.  As smoking cessation can be very stressful, B.Komplete recommends to combine these workshops with our Stress Reduction Workshops and/or Yoga Sessions to maximize employee engagement and their opportunity for success. The smoking cessation workshop series may accommodate up to 20 participants per program. Each participant will receive their own B.Komplete Smoking Cessation Binder.

Our programs are effective, HIPAA compliant, and we have heard from participants – even enjoyable.  Email us to schedule a consultation to discuss how our Smoking Cessation options can best benefit your corporate population.
